Statutory Rights – The following terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
We will try to ensure that all descriptions and prices listed on the website are accurate, however errors may occur and we do not provide a warranty for the correctness of the information shown. If an error is discovered before dispatch of goods we will contact you as soon as possible by email to inform you of the error, and ask if you wish to continue with the order under the amended details or to cancel the order. If you decide to cancel the order we will refund any monies paid. No goods will be dispatched until paid for in full.
Books bought to be posted to a different delivery address as a gift automatically have their prices removed, are placed in a decorative slip bag & include a note saying who the gift is from – we do not include an itemised receipt. If you’d like to add a personal message to your order, just reply to the order confirmation email and we’ll arrange that for you.
‘In Stock’ items applies to stock that we usually hold in our Cow’s Lane bookshop or in our main supplier warehouses – we aim to complete all online orders within 7 days of ordering (excluding advance pre-orders) and we will notify you of an expected delivery date if an item is not currently in stock. If we are unable to fulfill your order for any reason, we will contact you as soon as possible by email, and offer you the option of cancelling or amending your order with a pro-rata refund of any monies already paid.

Please note : Free Postage orders will all be posted together as one parcel. We will hold your order until all items are in stock for dispatch. If there will be a significant wait (i.e. some items not yet published or unavailable) we will offer you the option of paying for extra parcels at our standard rates.

All Orders are calculated by parcel weight at checkout. A standard hardback book (500g to 1kg) is currently charged at €11.00.
Deliveries to Great Britain
All Orders are calculated by parcel weight at checkout. A standard hardback book (500g to 1kg) is currently charged at €10.00.
Deliveries to USA & Canada & Rest of World
All Orders are calculated by parcel weight at checkout. A standard hardback book (500g to 1kg) is currently charged at €18.00.
Deliveries to Rest of World
All Orders are calculated by parcel weight at checkout. A standard hardback book (500g to 1kg) is currently charged at €25.00.
We aim to supply all orders within the time frames outlined in your special order information or, if held in stock in our stores, within the framework listed below. If for some reason we cannot do so, we will contact you as soon as possible by email and ask if you wish to continue with the order under the amended conditions, or to cancel the order.
2021 – Please note that we are seeing severe delays to some International deliveries due to Covid-19 working restrictions & limited space for post/parcels available on international flights. Some International deliveries may take up to one month to be delivered. We’re sorry for these delivery delays which are outside of our control.

Items not currently held in stock will have an estimated delivery time informed to you via email.
If you find the books you have bought are unsuitable for your purposes, we will offer a refund of the purchase price provided that they are returned to us in perfect condition within 14 days of delivery. Under these conditions, we will refund the purchase price of the item(s) but not any costs for postage and packing. This does not affect your statutory rights.
If you are unhappy with the products or services you have received from us, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with full details of your complaint. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you have the right to submit your complaint to an online dispute resolution process operated by the European Commission.
The website contains material which is owned or licensed to us, including the descriptions and graphics pertaining to an item. Reproduction of any material on the website is prohibited.
The website must not be used for any purpose other than searching for a book or placing an order with us. Unauthorised use of the website may give rise to a claim for damages.
