At the centre of the campaign is the iconic BAMB tote bag. Since the campaign launched, over a million people have worn a Books Are My Bag to show their love for their local bookshop. A key part of every Bookshop Week in October is the Books Are My Bag Limited-Edition Bag. We are thrilled that this year the award-winning author and illustrator Jackie Morris has a collaborated on the bag. The bags are made from 100% cotton canvas with a digital print. They are long handled shoppers with gusset, 380mm W x 430mm H. Jackie Morris has worked as an illustrator, artist and author on more than 40 books, and has collaborated with the likes of Ted Hughes, Robin Hobb and Robert Macfarlane. Her tote design features a fox curled up behind a bookshop, dreaming. In 2017 Morris won a Books Are My Bag Readers Award in the Beautiful Book category for her illustrations for The Lost Words with Robert Macfarlane. Her upcoming titles include Feather, Leaf Bark & Stone, The Accordion Books, Mrs Noah’s Song and Something About a Bear. On being invited to design the bag, Jackie said, “As a writer, I owe my career to booksellers. As a reader I love the individuality of different stores that so beautifully reflect the personalities of the staff.
